Supporting Venture Philanthropy.

The Mount Rundle Club was established in 2019 in Calgary, Alberta by over 20 members with a wealth of experience and expertise across multiple industries including technology, finance, education, real estate, energy, health care, supply chain, telecommunications and others.

The CMRIC Fund I supports venture philanthropy through a measurable, beneficial innovation ecosystem that leads to a financial return. Major components of the club’s activities are the opportunities to socialize, build relationships in the innovation ecosystem, and support the financial viability of CDL ventures.

 

INVESTMENT THESIS

CMRIC Fund I investment principles.

  • CMRIC Fund investments are only in CDL- Rocky ventures.

  • CMRIC Fund only makes initial investments with no follow-on investments.

  • The CMRIC Fund will not lead investments and will only follow a lead investor.

  • The CMRIC Fund will invest in the latter two-thirds of a venture’s raise to ensure that ventures have momentum in their raise.

  • Investments will be a minimum of $50,000 CAD, to a maximum of $250,000 CAD.

  • CMRIC Fund will donate 20% of its profits to CDL – Rockies.
